Do You Believe in Miracles?

I do and every now and again, I dust off
my copy of the movie "Miracle" and re-watch it
just to remind myself what can happen when
you "Believe".

Have you seen it?

It's the story of the US Hockey Team that
beat the Russians in the 1980 Olympics.

It was way back before Professional Hockey
Players took over the sport.

It was about a bunch of kids barely out
of school and how they worked together to
BEAT the Russians in an unprecedented VICTORY.

They believed they were # 1 and they played like
they were # 1 and the the Miracle happened.

The real Grit of the story is that these young men
went through grueling conditioning to prepare.

They were PUSHED to the point of exhaustion.

They had only 7 months before they would compete
against a team that had been playing together for 15 years.

No team could outlast them physically on the ice.

Team USA did!

This Monday is a Holiday in Rhode Island.

We are the ONLY state that celebrates it.

It was originally called VJ day which was

Victory over Japan.

We were kind of embarrassed that we still

celebrated it so we changed it to Victory Day.

In celebration of Victory Day, I'd like to "Challenge"

you all to "achieve" your own personal VICTORY.

Whatever it may be...Today is YOUR Time.
